European art has a long history beginning in the caves of southern France, through the Christian and classic periods and finally into the Renaissance, focusing on the masters of Italy (Florence especially). Most popular are the Impressionists, who congragated in France and the later Post-Impressionists, epitomozed by Picasso and Chagall.
